Did you know that up to 80% of menopausal women experience hot flashes and vaginal dryness?
These are the most common symptoms in all stages of menopause, yet so embarrassing that most women won’t even talk about them.
With the launch of my new menopause program and community coming up soon, I decided to hand my podcast over AGAIN (since you all loved it so much last week). Head Trainer Laura Hutchinson took the reins on this week’s podcast, and she does not disappoint!
Laura has been in the menopause research realm for many years. We’ve both had our heads in the sand TOGETHER for the last year because of our soon-to-be-launched programs, and let me tell you, Laura knows her sh*t.
And quite frankly?
We’re over the silence that has been deafening menopausal women. It’s time to get real about one of the most natural occurrences all women will ever experience.
So when I asked Laura if she wanted to take over my podcast and talk all things menopause, she of course squealed in delight! So listen closely as she gets down and dirty with:
what menopause is
different cultural beliefs around menopause
most common symptoms
average age that menopause strikes
..and loads more
She even discusses vaginal dryness + some ways to help it, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), and shares an old menopause myth that I bet will shock you!
Enjoy this fabulous episode! Love Kim xo

Quotes
“The only thing predictable about perimenopause is that it’s unpredictable.”
“The success of your life will be defined by the number of difficult conversations you are prepared to have.”
Hey Laura! You have a wonderful teaching style, clear direct message, easily understood. Thank you for this. I am now (finally! Yeah!) past the 12 month marker. I’ve noticed many things…one of them being, as you note, not a lot of info on this and minimal discussion. I had a horrid UTI (1st in 20 years), and the Dr stated that in her practice 50 % of menopausal women with acute UTI is in direct relation to relations with partner and a dry vagina. This has resulted in me making time in conversations with younger ladies to give them food for thought. I wish someone had had this conversation with me. Looking forward to the menopause group. Conversations are needed.
Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback for Coach Laura. I am so pleased you enjoyed the podcast episode, and found it informative. Super well done for having open and honest conversations with younger ladies, there is nothing to be ashamed of, and the more we talk about things – the better!
Awesome talk. I’m glad I heard about this info before I go full crash ahead into peri menopause. Good to know!
Thank you so much for your feedback, I am so pleased you enjoyed the episode! 💕
I want to thank all of you for amazing work you so.
Listening to this was an awesome experience. Laura shared a lot of useful information. I am currently in perimenopause I think… since I had an endometrial ablasion about 15 years ago I am not 100% sure, your list of symptoms was like a check list I wasn’t even aware most of them were symptoms of menopause. My family is more open than some but I’m mother had a hysterectomy in her early 30’s do was forced into early menopause and didn’t have the knowledge or information to help my sister and I navigate this new challenge in the life of being a woman… men get it so easy 😀😀
Again, thank you… extremely helpful and insightful information
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback for Coach Laura. It is so important to have open and honest conversations about Menopause – it is nothing to be ashamed of and it is a natural process! 😃
Great podcast, clear and concise.
We’ll done Laura, looking forward to the programme next year.
Thank you so much!!! I can’t wait to see what else you guys come up with.
Hi Dorothy, Thank you so much for all your love and support 💕
Thank you Laura for sharing your knowledge about menopause. I’m still trying to wrap my head around that I will be turning 50 this coming January! I’m perimenopausal and luckily haven’t had to deal with hot flashes yet, but my mood swings and weight fluctuations are something else! I’m so excited about the new menopause group that you are going to take charge of! I have so many questions and I’m sure I’ll have more when I actually “go through the change” completely. I can’t wait!
Wow…loved this podcast! I am 54 and have been in menopause for nearly 3 years post hysterectomy. My biggest issue is loss of libido and vaginally dryness. I also have sore joints which may also be a side effect. I need to have this conversation with my daughters aged 33 and 29, as I certainly had little to no knowledge entering this phase. Thanks so much for your approach to making this a subject that needs to be discussed openly and not brushed under the carpet 🙏
I am so glad you found the podcast informative! Laura really does know her stuff and she is a great teacher. Thank you for all your love and support. You are amazing 😊
Awesome talk thank you I am going through all of it and have been out on HRT what a diff it has made. Don’t be afraid to discuss it. Find a medical prof that has a passion. I did in the us
You are exactly, right – This is a topic we should not be afraid to discuss. Thank you so much for your comment 💕
