Whenever you start losing your menstrual cycle, your body cries out: “NO!” and tries to cling to the estrogen, for some God-awful reason. Your body isn’t ready to stop cranking out eggs, so it turns to the second biggest source for estrogen: Fat cells.

This is what then happens, my dear, fallopian-tubed friend Starting menopause means your estrogen levels drop.  So your body turns to it’s secondary source of estrogen - fat cells.

Your body actually creates insulin resistance in your cells so that more of the calories you eat are diverted to fat stores.  Because the more fat you have, the more estrogen your body will produce.

SUMMARY: About 40% more glucose is being sent to your menopausal cells for fat storage, which you then see on your belly as you pull on jeans in the morning.

A: This program will help women to shred body fat fast. Most women lose 5% body fat in the first 14 days of following the nutrition and workouts. It’s designed not only to help women to shred their meno belly or unwanted excess weight, but to educate them on why this happened in the first place.  Understanding the changes that happen in the body during menopause is key to successfully navigating this stage of life. 
A: This is a plan with fat burning workouts designed for busy women. They are short, but effective follow-along workouts designed to be done either at home or gym with bands or dumbbells. They get to choose. The circuit workouts will still follow our bodybuilding principles of training each body part throughout the week. There will be three 1 hour follow along sessions.  The workouts can be done 3 days a week or doubled up into 6 days a week.
A: The only cardio is walking. The members will be encouraged to hit 15,000 steps per day. This will be a personal challenge during the 12 weeks.
A: This program is based on nutrition principles that members can follow easily, anywhere. My personal chef, Lee, has also created a selection of fantastic recipes following these principles for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, so members can follow along and create their own meal plans.
A: No. While this plan was created with an intention for menopausal women, the principles of fat loss in this program will work for anyone at any age.
A: This is the only program in The Sculpted Vegan that is based on nutrition principles, not calories and macros. This means that there are concepts for the member to simply follow. We say principles rather than rules because that implies a regimented strictness, where these principles give autonomy. We recognise that menopause is a stage of life that needs to be treated differently than simply dieting for a prescribed length of time. To successfully navigate the changes the body goes through in menopause, women need to understand the science behind what is happening and also how to eat to work with these changes successfully. This is what is taught inside the Menopause Shred.  This program works on 5 very simple principles of eating that will not only achieve astounding fat loss results very quickly, but that members can continue to follow for the rest of their lives!
A: The training is designed to be done a minimum of three times per week, but can be done as much as six times. The training is done at home with bands and dumbbells. It’s a follow-along, 60 minute workout including a warm up and cool down. If you are low on time or already warm, you could skip the warm up or cool down. Cardio is optional but members will be challenged to complete at least 15,000 steps per day. The more exercise someone does, the better their results will be.
A: There is no prescriptive meal plan for this program. Instead, we have created a comprehensive recipe book - worked on with my personal chef - based on the principles of eating. Members can choose their meals from any of the options provided, without having to macro and calorie count. This makes it super simple to follow. There is also no portion control! Yes, you heard me correctly. You’re encouraged to eat as much as you want on this program because if you follow the principles to the letter, you will not only lose body fat, you’ll keep it off forever.
A: Due to the fact that there is no prescriptive meal plan, members can simply choose the recipes that fit with their preferred style of eating. So if a recipe contains an ingredient that you don’t like or doesn’t fit with your dietary requirements, simply choose another one instead.
A: While the recipe book is plant-based and no set meal plans, the principles work for a plant-based diet or anyone wishing to substitute in their own preferences, which can still work alongside and with the nutrition principles.
