How Understanding the Emotional Cycle of Change made me a Million Dollars and a Bodybuilding Champion – Episode 19

There is a reason why the extra mile is never crowded. It’s because most just aren’t willing to do what it takes to get there. However, if you’re willing to keep going through the valley of death, you can literally achieve anything in this life. In this episode I breakdown the emotional cycle of change, and why understanding and conquering it is the key to achievement. Most people quit in the valley of despair. But if you can find the strength to keep going, you will reach a stage of success that is very rare..

Very inspirational thank you! I now can put a name to what I’ve been going through I need to get emotionally fitter and ride out the valley of despair. Many thanks!!

I liked the part about the emotional cycles. The part about making a million dollar company on your own, and saying all you need to do is stick with it is a bit misleading. You must acknowledge that you had someone paying the mortgage and bills so you could go follow your dreams. I wonder how you would have managed to make a million dollar company if you had to work a 9-5 job to support your kids -or even just yourself – while working on your company and find time for your training on top of that.
I think you must acknowledge that not everyone is as set up as you are financially to begin with and it is much harder for them.
I congratulate you on your hard work, but you did have a lot of help to get you there.

Kim. First of all, congratulations to you and for all of your success and THANK YOU for it. Because if not for your hard work, I wouldn’t have had the pleasure of finding you online and begun the journey of finding my “success and fulfillment”. Your podcasts are so informative and inspirational .I love to listen while doing my LISS training. I’m nearly finished the 4 week shred and am so excited to continue on the sculpted vegan path to success and reach my ultimate body goals. I know I can do it thanks to you!

  3. Larinda says:

Excellent. Thank you! I’m so happy to hear this! I feel so very proud of myself, I’m completing my first 4 week shred. It’s been amazing, enlightening, bloody hard as hell, tear jerking, exhausting and transforming in more ways then just physically.
When I started I refused to acknowledge the valley of despair. I decided to do this 100%. I’m just about done, only a few more days. I have indeed traversed the valley of despair, yet not ONCE succumbed. It’s been a daily, all day, constant push. If I’m not working out, I’m thinking about it, or planning my day, or dreaming about it.. It’s a constant effort, and it’s been so worth it, words don’t capture the sense of accomplishment I feel now and will feel even more come the final day. This resonates with me on so many levels. Thanks again!

Kim you are one incredible and inspirational women. I read on a review you had support from your family to do this but with all of it, you still busted your ass to get where you are today. You could have sat back and been mom and wife but instead you kicked ass. So proud of you ❤️ I have been following you and love that you share so much information on how to make yourself a better person. Keep it coming bc I look the way I do bc of you. You have giving me inspiration ❤️

  5. Allison says:

Thanks Kim, the podcast made me laugh, I could see myself in so much of it.
I’m currently in the valley of despair with my business. It’s a good business and good product but I haven’t paid myself much in 6 months. Often wanting to throw it all in and start something new ?. Well, I’m going to traverse the valley and make the damn company profitable.

I found you originally through a vegan site as I am transitioning from vegetarian to vegan and also in my 50s trying to get fitter and leaner. Thanks for the inspiration and delivery if it in a down to earth way. I’m going to take you on my walks along our beautiful coastline.

    Cheers, Alli

I liked the explanation and knowing that the intro sound was from a real occasion! Love how you explain your evolution and notice your changes from previous years! Planning on downloading these so I can listen to you on the way to the gym for some morning motivation! Thanks again! 😀

  7. Flavia says:

Wow! Everything you said in this episode is so real and I didn’t even realize it until I heard you say it. That part when you were talking about the type of people who constantly pick up new hobbies and then let them go once they realize it takes a lot of work….it hit home. Hard.
Thank you for the valuable content! I definitely feel more #woke now haha!

  8. Misty says:

Uninformed optimism is such a jerk, it’s not real. Muscles and success are real. Thanks for sharing your story and thoughts. Please celebrate you everyday!

  9. Janice Charters says:

What a life lesson so beautifully told by Kim. I Love that Kim’s podcasts aren’t some kind of lecture about what you should & shouldn’t do, but rather a very engaging, real life, meaningful story that get the message across in such a memorable way. ‘The Valley of Death’ hits us all in many aspects of life but the Sculpted Vegan community is always there to lift you up and keep you going. This was particularly meaningful at the start of week 7 of Butt Camp. Keep doing what you do Kim – you are amazing! x

    • The Sculpted Vegan says:
